Our dental office maintains a no-show and cancellation policy because each appointment requires the coordinated efforts of at least three team members dedicated to your care—from verifying and managing insurance benefits, to preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms, to providing high-quality clinical service during your visit. Significant time, preparation, and overhead expenses are reserved specifically for your scheduled appointment. When a visit is missed without proper notice, those resources and team efforts cannot be reassigned. Missed appointments create substantial costs for the practice and limit access for other patients who need care; therefore, a fee is assessed for no-shows and late cancellations.
To help you keep your appointment, we provide multiple reminder options, including email, texts and postcard confirmations in advance of your visit, in addition to any personal scheduling methods you use. Our team is happy to assist with convenient scheduling options, and in return, we respectfully request at least one full business day (24 hours) notice if you need to reschedule so we may offer that time to another patient.
*If you believe you have a valid reason for a missed appointment, we welcome you to submit your explanation in writing, and we will be happy to review your request.
